I went for a walk to the forrest yesterday.
It was warm and very bright and grass was still covered in dew. Forrest was singing, fragrant and inviting.
I met this guy on the road and he showed me the way...
... to sunbathed spring...
... where I washed my face and shivered and smiled, and drank cold water 'till my teeth froze.
Place was buzzing with life and some of it came to greet me and to taste me a little to see what I am made of.
Bug said I'm ok to go so further into the wood I went to explore feeding grounds for boar and dear.
Lilac linseed plants were so welcoming, I had to take a peek...
... while polkadot bugs were playing on nearby flowers.
And then I grew tired and sat on a moss-covered log...
... adamant to wait for a frog to come and say hello and surely he came.
There were hikers hiking, there were runners running, there were dog-people carrying on after their pets and there was me - interacting with nature. Looking under logs and being landed upon. Frog almost went out of the water to come closer to me and I could have sworn he winked at me when I got up to leave.
It is a serenity immersion. It is a cleansing of thouhgt and of spirit.
It is home.

Violet violets
Last couple of weeks I've been so tired at evenings when I got through my usual and extra chores I used to fall asleep sitting up and I was so anxious I used to wake up at night and could not sleep.
Last night I read a book in bed and went to sleep and I woke up from a dream when the alarm clock sounded morning.
I dreamt an ordinary day.
I dreamt getting work done, coming home, talking to family, cooking dinner, sounds of chattering in the background. I dreamt reading a book in bed and falling to sleep and waking up when the alarm clock rang and getting and giving a good morning kiss.

Snowdrops, finally
I realize I'm too quiet last couple of days, but I'm hoping to catch up once life changes I'm going through right now tide over.
I'm knitting Gemini.
I'm enjoying 20 Celsius in Zagreb.
Air is sweet with life and sun warm and rewarding. There is fondness and pride and truth revealed in words and deeds around me.

MOCP Day 20 - Finishing
Fresh from the needles: bottom-up socks.
I have just beggining and end thread to weave in.
These are simple warm and lacy socks for my lovely aunt that has trouble with finding right socks for her acutely arthritic feet. They will be a surprise. I hope she likes them.
There's one more thing there in the picture: young, yellow, eagerly awaited spring sunrise sun. It was warm enough for me to go take picture on my balcony this morning and my heart sang with the birds from a nearby forrest patch. There was smell of melting frost and nature's hope to begin opening pregnant buds of local trees and shrubs in the air.
This weekend I saw snowdrops. Cats have gone love-hunting. All is well.

MOCP Day 4 - Inspiration Outdoors
Lately I've been eyeing few simple braids for a half baked idea I have and this morning I saw this combination of slush, snow and grit and this feels just like the thing I need for that misterious project.
Doesn't it just feel like a cable with bobbles, something acromatic, squishy, more a game of light and shadows than color changes? Would it be perfect in greyish cashmere blend I just got?
I like it.
We shall see what will come of it.

For a walk
Morning came with the sun.
We went for a walk, my friend and I, and nature was sonorous and serene. Air smelled of dry grass and fallen leaves ruffled under our feet.

Slice of Saturday
Floral forest in the picture above is our very own Jerusalem artichoke patch in our garden. They're almost ready to be unearthed and harvested but they look so lovely in bloom so we're leaving them a bit more to stand guard.
Autumn came without frost. Air is crisp and sun most beautifully yellow, making remaining green alive and crystalline.
It is beyond pleasure to knit beside remaining heliathuses in a garden warmed by the sun .

More Taraxacums
Beautiful weather for taraxacum hunts. I love how this photo turned out - like it is artificially lighted even though it was taken as it is, in the woods, on less than perfect day light-wise.

Jambrisak spring
There is something utterly enchanting in the notion that there is fresh, lovely, consumable water coming out of the ground, incessantly, liter after liter. The spring on the photo is Jambrisakovo vrelo on Ponikve meadow. It is really quick pleasurable walk from the road and water is very cool.

Stop and roll in the new green grass
New leaves have grown over night. Everything is blossoming. Grass looks so wonderfully delicious I cannot decide whether to roll in it or eat it. I love spring.

Snowdrop
Spring is slowly creeping ever closer, soon we will forget trials of winter just like they were never here. I've been too distracted lately to write here and also too angry not to spew bitterness so I'm taking it slow for now. Hopefully there will be some better pictures now that warmer and better lighted days are coming.

Saving Time For Later
This weekend we got an extra hour to sleep in and an opportunity to get completely annoyed realigning social clock with our biological one. So we were, my offspringess and I, getting up at 6 o'clock past few days. That resulted in some great sunrises photos. I love how she always wakes up in good spirits so we can talk and laugh and get ready for preschool and work feeling relaxed and ready for new challenges.

Sunlit Woods
Another educational and socially unpleasant day is behind us. To harmonize unpleasantness levels in all available social interaction fields we went for a brief walk in the woods around Glavica. I wish I had some brain implants that could play new Oceansize album to me in times of trouble, I like very much what it does for my psychological homeostasis.

Candied Hedge
Today Zagreb woke up covered in hoarfrost and lit by beautifuly yellow sun. I am really tired this week from all the travel, stress, business engagements and various obligations I had to see fulfilled so I'm very pleased with world's daily display of beauty which in turn makes me less nervous. Sometimes I wish I was less of a diplomat and more of a epicurean.

As always, beauty lurks from unexpected places
Five minutes ago we had an unexpected bout of rain and rainbow quickly emerged over Zagreb sky. Finest bow for today's holiday free time present.

Oil Painted House
I'm just sitting in my car in front of the house where my ofspringess is recording her debut song with her scene troupe. It is raining heavily and I thouhgt that sitting in the car with a book would be a great procpect. But, as it turned out, looking through rain covered windows is greater still; the world seems to be melting and remodeling with every droplet of rain, house closest to my windshield is turning into impressionist oil painting. World is truly a wonderful, heartwarming place, beauty and wonder always just one glance away.

Eye of The Spider
I'm lying in bed now, more dissapointed than angry, contenplating intricacies of human condition. Little (actually pretty big, truth be told) guy in the photo was caught frolicking round my room so I used this opportunity to admire him, take bunch of his pictures and finally to kick him out. Allthough I made every effort to gently catch him and to transfer him into yard it didn't really turn out as I planned and I fear I had broken his leg. That got me thinking (after managing the guilt part, of course) of how we are atrociously overweening in taking things for granted. If somebody broke my arm I'd say:'Oh. well...' and get it fixed in a flash. But my recent roommate will probably get eaten because of it, broken limb being such a hinderance and all.

Flowering May
Normally I pretend I do not have time for nature walks so they would misteriously miss me, but this April I broke my elbow so there are no useful chores I could hide behind. As always, nature is beautiful and serene, full of life and colour. Hardly out of my own yard and already endeared by experience.

... and then, Not-So-Warm-December
Temperature plummeted and - lo and behold - we got a white blanket here in Zagreb. I really, really dislike snow and how much it cramps up my style but it sure looks pretty.
