FO Simple Purple Socks
I have just realised I have not shown you both of my precious purple socks in all their glory so there they are. I just love how they match perfectly, just like I'm standing on a mirror. I also wanted to point out how much I enjoy this year Knitting and Crochet Blog Week - meeting great crafters and reading about their life and work day after day (note the nifty tagging system) - this is all so great that I'm a bit ashamed I chose not to participate this year. So I used a smidgen of crafter lingo in the post title to position myself little closer to subculture I already believe to be part of :)

Some Late Night Baking
It never gets old or tiresome to watch freshly made sandwich buns bake. Tonight I made potato buns from some leftover mashed potato so tomorrow morning I can have some before leaving for Varazdin and take some with me for lunch. I'm watching Karakurizer lose his temper over Urahara's shenanigans and loving that I can understand almost half of things said in original Japanese dub.

Graduation Flowers
I got this beautiful flower bouquet (that my mum is holding) as a graduation present from a dear friend. Finally I have justified trust of everyone who believed in me against piling evidence that this graduation shall never happen.

Purple Sock
I almost have new pair of socks as this baby's twin sister is ready to be binded off. Since my last post I turned 33 and had lovely celebration with best cake ever. Things have been happening at lightening speed and I paused a bit with blog updates. Tomorrow I'm taking my offspringess to school as she will be first-grader this fall. Weather is also getting warmer and I immensly love being able to walk around with no coat.

Eskimimi's Dextrous Mitts
Sometime in early February I bought wonderfull Flutter mittens by Eskimimi and few days ago I found thank you e-mail from Eskimimi in my inbox along with coupon for free download of lovely Dextrous Mitts. I casted them on yesterday morning around 10 and at 4pm my mum had new fabulous pair of handwarmers. I adjusted them for knitting in the round and they were sheer pleasure to knit and on top of that just 4 easy ends to weave in.

Cherry Buds
I've just had a terrible fight with my mother, person in whose house I live in and in turn participate in life costs and investments. I wouldn't go as far as to say they couldn't go on without me but it is fuckin' sure as hell my buck makes life easier. I do not like her and her values and lifestyle is something I don't identify with but she is my mother and there's nothing to be done here and I expect same leniancy from her. Or at least I used to expect that. It seems that I'm also growing up in this regard. I see now that my expectations were based on unprobable assumptions of racional and objective. As I am saddened by the fact of acknowleding lack of common ground to build on I am also somewhat relieved with finding out I already posess the capabilities of understanding that even if we will never be able to see eye to eye there is nothing that SHOULD be done about it. I somehow feel Tao Te Ching finally sinking into understanding.

Mouse Ears
Carnival preparations are drawing ever quicker to a close, these mouse ears finished today are the last thing I agreed to make for growing army of offspringians. I completely hate carnival time. I despise the fact of notion that masks are needed to draw sincerity to the surface. I'm sickened by emptiness of Lent promises and whole this choreography is... sickening. I've always felt this way so what these mouse ears really are is a surprising sign of me softening. It really is true that: "Adults do not make children. It is children who make adults."

Man Zero in MM center 16Feb2011
Last night guys from Man Zero gave great performance at MM center in Zagreb. This is one exeptional and intimate space, where performers and listeners are put in very cosy environment and I liked the feeling of almost participating in performance by being so close. Watching their act and being so close I kept noticing little details that I do not usually have chance to notice; idiosyncrasies possibly revealing person and performer both. So the drummer was playing enthralled, making lots of facial expressions and mannirisms and extra movements and almost communications that it looked like there is another performance alltogether going on inside him, as if he was that way making visible only the tip of the performance iceberg. I was so reminded, from individual to archetype, how impossible it is to truly share an experience. To make visible all constitutes of playing or constructing something or orgasming.

Young Gods at Kset 11Feb2011
Young Gods are obviously not so young anymore yet they give godly performance nevertheless. I had new hairstyle and I danced 'till my feet hurt and still I wasn't able to overpower my inner nagger. There is something rotten in the state of Denmark. I am doing something about it. I believe I am doing it the needed way. I do not care if my actions are weird and nonconformistic. I do care if it yields desired crop.

Trip to Varazdin and some Young Gods
I'm spending this day in Varazdin, beautiful baroque city in northern Croatia. There is some work to be done and a lot of familiarizing with new people and environment. I'm mostly collecting tasks for the weekend this week so I can think about what I'm doing not just trot along as ordered. Tonight I'm gonna go and watch Young Gods perform at Kset and I'm looking forward to that.
